A Transformational Gathering on the Human Being, Leadership, and Shaping What Comes Next
For the First Time in Damascus
For the first time, we meet in Damascus not to recover what has passed, but to begin with what still remains within us — and to create what deserves to come next.
We meet to speak about strength that builds rather than performs, influence that leaves an impact rather than noise, and the human being who can transform experience into knowledge, knowledge into action, and become an active partner in shaping the future.
This is not a traditional training course.
Nor is it a passing lecture that is heard and then forgotten.
It is a transformational seminar — a human and leadership gathering where we reconsider the meaning of strength, understand what the past years have done to us, and explore how a person can regain balance, confidence, initiative, leadership, and the ability to influence.
Why This Gathering, and Why Now?
Because what Syrians have lived through did not only transform cities, economies, and institutions.
It left its mark on the human being.
Years of fear, anxiety, uncertainty, loss, absence, displacement, division, and waiting created survival mechanisms and patterns of thinking and behavior that now need to be understood — not condemned.
Fear that once helped us survive can become a prison after the danger has passed.
Caution that protected us during one stage may prevent us from taking initiative in another.
Silence that was once wisdom may eventually become an inability to express ourselves.
And the habit of waiting, imposed by years of uncertainty, may remain inside us even when we are finally capable of acting.
That is why, before rebuilding places, we must restore the human being who will rebuild them.
From Healing to Strength
Healing does not mean forgetting.
It does not mean asking people to move beyond their losses as though they never happened, nor does it mean erasing a memory that has shaped part of their lives.
Healing means understanding what the experience has done within us, so that it does not continue controlling our future without our awareness.
It means recognizing where the danger ended — and where the fear remained.
Where the experience ended — and where its impact continued.
And where something that once helped us survive has now become an obstacle to living.
How does a painful experience become wisdom?
How do we rebuild trust after years of uncertainty?
How do we move from a survival mindset to a building mindset?
How does a person move from waiting for events to happen to actively participating in shaping what happens next?
This is where strength begins.
Strength is not a louder voice.
It is not control over others.
And it is not an image we create for people to see.
Strength is an internal state.
When it becomes stable within a person, it appears in their decisions, their words, their behavior, and their capacity to act.
Building the Leader
In this gathering, we are not searching for a list of “leadership qualities” to memorize.
We go deeper.
How is a leader built from within?
How does a person understand themselves before attempting to lead others?
How do they manage fear and emotion?
How do they regain the ability to make decisions after years of uncertainty?
How do they move from reaction to action?
How do they transform experience into knowledge, knowledge into a position, and that position into action?
And how can a person become a source of reassurance, strength, and direction for those around them?
Leadership, before becoming a position, is an internal structure.
Before it becomes authority over others, it is the ability to manage oneself and carry responsibility.
Nations seeking to begin again do not simply need more managers.
They need people capable of leadership.
Strength & Influence
We explore the relationship between psychology, the nervous system, behavior, decision-making, and communication.
We examine how past experiences shape some of our present reactions, how fear, memory, and emotion operate within us, and how we can regain the space between what happens to us and how we choose to respond.
Then we move from understanding ourselves to understanding others.
From automatic reaction to conscious decision.
From speaking to listening to what is not being said.
And from simple communication to creating genuine impact.
Because real influence does not begin when you speak.
It begins before the first word is spoken.
From the Individual to Society
This gathering does not end with the individual.
Because when a person regains confidence, they do not change only their own life.
They return differently to their family.
Differently to their workplace.
Differently to their institution.
And differently to their community.
If years of hardship created within us a culture of fear, waiting, and caution, then the coming stage requires another culture:
A culture of initiative.
Responsibility.
Work.
Trust.
The ability to disagree without division.
And the ability to build without waiting for someone else to begin first.
Major transformations do not always begin inside institutions.
Sometimes they begin with the person who walks through their doors.
What Will Happen During the Seminar?
Four hours of dialogue, experiences, practical exercises, stories, and real-life situations combining psychology, behavior, leadership, communication, body language, and human experience.
These will not be four hours devoted to accumulating information.
And this will not be a lecture you attend only to leave exactly as you arrived.
We begin with the human being.
We understand what has happened within them.
We examine some of the marks that experience has left on their thoughts, reactions, and decisions.
We reconnect them with the sources of their strength.
Then we move toward their relationship with others, with society, with institutions, and with the future.
From healing to strength.
From strength to leadership.
From leadership to influence.
And from influence to shaping what comes next.
What Will You Take Away from the Experience?
You may discover that some of what you once called weakness was simply the effect of an experience you had never fully understood.
You may understand why you hesitate in situations where you know you are capable.
Why fear sometimes remains even after the source of that fear has disappeared.
And why some battles from yesterday continue to influence the decisions of today.
You will learn to observe your thoughts and reactions and understand the relationship between your emotions, behavior, and decisions.
You will move closer to a different understanding of confidence, strength, leadership, and influence.
The goal is not to become someone else.
The goal is to regain the ability to be yourself — without allowing yesterday's fear to lead you into tomorrow's battles.
Who Is This Gathering For?
For every person who feels that the next chapter requires a more aware, stronger, and more capable version of themselves.
For leaders, managers, entrepreneurs, media professionals, content creators, employees, students, and young people.
For those who want to understand themselves before leading others.
For those who want to transform their experience into knowledge.
And for those who want to become part of rebuilding — rather than simply watching it happen.
Because societies do not change only through major decisions.
They change when the human being who makes the decision, implements it, and carries it forward begins to change.
Priority Registration
The invitation is open to everyone, and participation is completely free.
Advance registration is required due to limited seating.
Priority in confirming registration will be given to families of the missing, detainees, and forcibly disappeared, as well as to those who have experienced loss, displacement, and forced migration, and to young people and families whose lives have been deeply affected by years of war.
Trainer & Mentor Ammar Shehab
The gathering is led by trainer and mentor Ammar Shehab, through an experience that combines leadership, human behavior, communication, and practical application, built on years of working with individuals, leaders, and institutions across different environments and fields.
His approach is not centered on collecting information.
It is centered on transforming knowledge into practice, experience into awareness, and awareness into action.
In Damascus, this gathering does not come to offer a ready-made formula for the Syrian people.
Instead, it comes to ask a question worth beginning with:
What do we do with everything we have learned and everything we have lived through… so that we can create what deserves to come next?
The Message
For many years, the question was:
How do we survive?
Perhaps it is now time to ask a different question:
How do we live?
How do we build?
And how do we lead what comes next?
We meet in Damascus…
Not to recover what has passed,
but to create what deserves to come next.
